The West Coast Eagles will likely be without No.2 draft pick Jess Rentsch for another week, with scans revealing ruptured ligaments in her ankle.
“Jess Rentsch, after an ankle injury against Hawthorn, scans revealed a couple of ligament ruptures,” AFLW High Performance Manager Wes Salisbury said.
“We’ll see how she goes early this week to test her availability, but she will most likely be available for round 10 against Sydney.”
Eagles defender Belinda Smith suffered a nasty cork to the quad in Saturday’s RAC Derby, and was unable to play out the game.
“Belinda Smith got a heavy knock to the thigh in the second quarter,” Salisbury said.
“Unfortunately, she was unable to play out the game after half time.
“We’ll see how she pulls up this week and she will be a test for availability.”
