Co-vice-captain Bella Lewis led from the front on Saturday, having a crucial impact for the blue and gold and making it clear why she’s such a prominent leadership figure at just 20 years of age. Lewis showed how tough she is around the contest, her pace and strength in the air, and finished with 26 touches, eight marks, two tackles and a goal.

Saturday’s game at Mineral Resources Park drew another record crowd, 2470 passionate Eagles fans got behind the team and showed their support. After reaching a record crowd in round one against Richmond, the fans have continued to rally as the season builds, and the team will be relishing in the support during their most successful season to date.

4. Thomas turns up the heat

Reigning club champion and co-vice-captain Charlie Thomas continues to show why she is such an import pillar in the Eagles backline. Thomas managed 24 touches, a game-high 10 intercept possessions, four marks and three tackles, and currently leads the league for rebound 50s (50).

5. Roberts continues to hit the mark

Sensational youngster Ella Roberts once again showed her skills on the big stage with another stand-out performance on Saturday. Roberts managed a game-high 27 touches, a career-high and round-high 11 marks, along with two tackles, two clearances and a goal. The teenage talent currently sits second in the league for marks this season (35) and is consistently showing why she is one of the most exciting young players in the competition.
