1. Tess stands tall in the ruck

New recruit Tess Lyons had a breakout game on Sunday, holding her own in the ruck and playing an important role in the 24-point win. The 27-year-old Subiaco product managed a game-high 31 hitouts, 10 disposals, six marks and eight clearances against the Giants. Lyons was signed on the eve of the 2024 season, joining the Eagles as a replacement player and made her debut in round one against Richmond.

2. Roberts breaking personal records

Teen sensation Ella Roberts continues to go from strength to strength, the 19-yearold kicking a career-high three goals against GWS on Sunday. Roberts has only ever kicked one goal in a game prior to last weekend, and her ability to have an impact on the scoreboard, as well as around the ground, takes her game to another level.

3. Roxy Roux coming through

Exciting forward-mid Roxy Roux made a successful debut in the blue and gold on Sunday, having missed the start of the season with a hand injury. Roux played with intensity and excitement and fell just short on a couple of Mark of the Year attempts. The former-Docker has been open about how much she loves being a part of this Eagles group, and her teammates reciprocate the sentiment.

4. Another one for the history books

The Eagles are re-writing the history books this season, and its only week six. Recording their most successful season since entering the league, West Coast broke another record on Sunday, kicking their highest-ever score (64), with seven individual goal-scorers. The Eagles currently sit in seventh place on the AFLW ladder, with a 4-2 record heading into this weekend’s clash with Port Adelaide.

5. Road warriors

The Eagles remain undefeated on the road so far this season, beating the Bulldogs at Whitton Oval in week three, Collingwood at IKON Park in week four and the Giants on Sunday at Henson Park. West Coast’s success on the road will be a confidence booster ahead of each away trip, knowing they can get the job done without their home-turf advantage.
