Star West Coast Eagles trio Elliot Yeo, Jeremy McGovern and Jake Waterman have been nominated for the AFL Players’ Most Valuable Player Award for 2024.
Voted on by the playing cohort, the winner of the Leigh Matthews Trophy will be announced during Thursday’s AFL Awards event.
Ben Cousins and Chris Judd were previous West Coast winners of the MVP Award in 2005 and ’06 respectively.
McGovern and Waterman were also selected in the 44-man All-Australian squad and in the mix for the final 22 to be announced at Thursday's awards ceremony.
The AFLPA’s Best First Year Player, Best Captain and Most Courageous Player will also be revealed, with nominees to be announced on Wednesday.
