Versatile speedster Jack Petruccelle has joined key defender Harry Edwards as an inclusion in the West Coast Eagles line-up for the club’s final home game of the season against Carlton at Optus Stadium on Sunday.
When the match committee finalised the team Petruccelle and Edwards were promoted at the expense of omitted youngsters Clay Hall and Ryan Maric.
Hall, who had played in the previous two winning matches, has been squeezed out of the team after the starting as the sub against Gold Coast and then being subbed out in the third quarter last Saturday against North Melbourne.
Petruccelle has missed the last two games – the first through suspension and then he could not win back his place in the line-up for the Tasmanian bout with the Roos. He played strongly for the WAFL Eagles last Saturday.
The club is anticipating a big crowd when Andrew Gaff is farewelled in his 280th game for the club after a stellar 14-year career.
