Newly-signed injury replacement players Jayme Harken and Tess Lyons will pull on the wings amongst a host of fresh faces for Friday afternoon’s AFLW practice match against St Kilda.

Just 48 hours after officially becoming Eagles, back-to-back Dhara Kerr medallist Harken (Claremont) and Subiaco tall Lyons are into Daisy Pearce’s team to face the Saints.

Off-season recruits Alison Drennan (Gold Coast), Jess Hosking (Richmond), Roxy Roux (Fremantle) and ex-netballer Verity Simmons are also set for the final warm-up game.

Meanwhile, exciting teen Jess Rentsch, the No.2 pick in last year’s draft, has been named at full-back for the 1.30pm bouncedown at Mineral Resources Park.

West Coast fans will also get a look at Sanne Bakker and Octavia Di Donato, also signed as injury replacement players heading into Pearce’s first campaign in charge.

The practice match will be open to the public, with entry through gates on Goddard Street from 12.30pm, and livestreamed on westcoasteagles.com.au.

West Coast opens the 2024 season at home against Richmond with a primetime Friday night clash at 7.15pm on August 30.
