Veteran forward Jack Darling rewound the clock with an exceptional performance as he combined with Jake Waterman and Oscar Allen to be a constant threat to the Suns.

He consistently presented up the ground to offer an outlet target from defence as he collected 22 possessions, took eight marks and kicked a goal. Along with Waterman (four goals) and Allen (two) he was menacing all night.

In addition to those impressive numbers he also laid four of the team’s 12 inside 50 tackles,  took two of 11 marks inside the arc and was responsible for 12 pressure acts.

He was a major factor in the outcome as the senior players blended neatly with the crop of youngsters who continue to grow.
