Liam Ryan has always had a sense of occasion and again demonstrated that trait when he produced a sparkling display in his 100th game.
Ryan, who had bursts in the midfield as well as playing inside the attacking 50, had his best game of the year as he continues to build towards the impact he had before derailed by two serious hamstring injuries.
Flyin’ Ryan was electric around the ball and some of his kicking was back to the elite standards set in the early part of his career.
He amassed 21 possessions, sent the ball inside the attacking 50 mere arc five times and gained 480 metres with those touches (surpassed only by close mate Tim Kelly with 511).
Ryan also had a team high 10 score involvements and nine marks – two of them inside the forward 50 – and finished off his work with two goals.
