Harley Reid has been unsuccessful in his bid to have a rough conduct charge downgraded by the AFL Tribunal and will be sidelined for West Coast’s next two matches.

Represented by David Grace KC, Reid contested the Match Review Officer’s finding that his tackle on St Kilda’s Darcy Wilson was high impact.

However, the Eagles’ push to have the impact downgraded to medium, which would have resulted in a one-match ban, was dismissed by the AFL Tribunal jury.

As a result, the 19-year-old midfielder will miss Saturday’s home clash with North Melbourne and the Eagles’ away game against Essendon following the mid-season bye.

Reid is also ineligible to win this season’s Rising Star award.
