Two key West Coast Eagles big men are making strong progress while an emerging midfielder has ticked some of the boxes through the concussion protocols and will likely be available to play Gold Coast on Sunday.
Co-captain Oscar Allen is set to resume running in the near future while ruckman Matt Flynn was integrated into training today and will gradually build on his physical loading.
Luke Edwards, subbed out of the game against Richmond after a head knock, will be available against the Suns on the Gold Coast provided he gets through main training on Thursday.
High Performance Manager Mat Inness also provided an update on versatile big man Callum Jamieson who was a late withdrawal against the Tigers with a hamstring issue.
“Oscar is progressing, he’s in the prepare to run phase so hopefully it’s only a week or two and we will see him out on the track running around,” Inness told westcoasteagles.com.au.
“Today was a lighter session so 'Flynny' full trained today. With the main sessions he will still be integrating back into drills.
“Unfortunately for Jamo we withdrew him a couple of weeks with that hamstring soreness, we have since scanned that and he will miss a number of weeks.
“With Luke Edwards he is progressing really well. He full trained today, he needs to tick off full contact on Thursday and if he gets through he will play this weekend.”
