Talented recruit Tyler Brockman and draftee Clay Hall are in line to be available for round one selection provided they get through training this week.
Brockman is yet to suit up in West Coast colours after managing a knee complaint, but the ex-Hawk is a chance to make his Eagles debut in round one against Port Adelaide.
Hall’s impressive first pre-season was halted by an ankle injury in the Eagles’ intraclub last month, however the Peel product has made an encouraging recovery.
The 18-year-old will be pushing his case to play, while close mate Reuben Ginbey is set to return after ticking off the concussion protocols following a head knock in the scratch match against Fremantle.
“Reuben has passed his last milestone from the concussion protocols, so we expect to see him playing this week,” High Performance Manager Mat Inness told westcoasteagles.com.au.
“Tyler has been in full training for the last week, so assuming he gets through training on Thursday he’ll also be available to play this week.
“Clay’s ankle from the intraclub is going really well.
“He’s been in full training for the last week, and we also assume that he’ll (be available to) play if he gets through training on Thursday.”
After clearing rehab, Josh Rotham and Zane Trew are set to play their first competitive games for the season in the WAFL Eagles’ practice match against Perth on Saturday at Mineral Resources Park.
