The West Coast Eagles have named a blend of exciting youth and experienced stars for Saturday’s match simulation against Fremantle at Mineral Resources Park.

A capacity crowd of around 5000 spectators will see prized No.1 draft pick Harley Reid in action against opposition for the first time, with fellow draftees Loch Rawlinson and Coen Livingstone also named in the 27-player squad.

Reid is set to line-up across half-back and through midfield, alongside second-year bull Reuben Ginbey and emerging onballer Campbell Chesser, plus guns Elliot Yeo and Tim Kelly after their strong pre-seasons to date.

Promising youngsters Ryan Maric, Jack Williams, Luke Edwards, Noah Long, Tyrell Dewar and Brady Hough are also in the squad which will take part in the first four quarters of the six-period simulation.

Co-captains Liam Duggan and Oscar Allen will lead the team into action for the first time.

Ex-Hawthorn recruit Tyler Brockman won’t play his first scratch match due to knee soreness, while a no-risk approach has been taken with star centre half-back Jeremy McGovern coming off soreness from the intraclub last week.

The club is hopeful both players will make the trip to Adelaide for next week’s AAMI Community Series clash.

While the ticket allocation for the 4.45pm bouncedown is exhausted, fans can watch the match simulation streamed live on Kayo and on Fox Footy.
