Clearly the season did not evolve as the West Coast Eagles would have liked, but the body of work completed by midfielder Tim Kelly was exceptional.

In the absence for much of the season of both Luke Shuey and Elliot Yeo the smooth striding Kelly carried a heavy load.

In the main he relished the responsibility and must surely be under all-Australian consideration as one of the most consistent performers through the season.

Kelly reserved one of his best for this farewell match for his revered teammates with a 35-possession effort that included a team-high eight clearances, 12 inside 50 entries, seven score involvements and a massive 831 metres gained.

When the John Worsfold Medal is held next Saturday night he is sure to figure prominently on the leader board.
