West Coast players took time out from their busy training schedule to visit the club’s young metropolitan supporters yesterday.
The entire squad visited primary schools from Craigie to Mandurah to conduct football clinics and interact with the game's budding fans in an effort to promote healthy living and football participation across the State.
Players also preached the value of a healthy diet, encouraging students to forgo the temptations of sugar-laden treats and fuel their young bodies with lots of fresh fruit, vegetables, protein and carbohydrates.
They also fielded some curly questions from students, who were interested in how individual players prepared for games and what the team was doing to improve in season 2016.
Some teachers also cheekily used the opportunity to ask how West Coast's new draftees and recruits performed at the club's scratch match at the weekend.
Several players also stayed back to play king of the pack with students at recess, teaching them the finer points of taking a screamer in a big pack.
