The West Coast Eagles have continued with their youth policy as the club eyes off a possible victory against North Melbourne at Optus Stadium on Sunday.
With skipper Luke Shuey ruled out with a mild hamstring strain and forward Samo Petrevski-Seton suspended, the match committee have added two young midfielders to the starting line-up.
Wingman Luke Edwards, 21, and on-baller Xavier O’Neill, 22, who started as the substitute last week after a late call-up, have both been named in the starting 22.
There might yet be a slice of experience resuming as well, with premiership midfielder Elliot Yeo named among a list of four emergencies. From that group that also includes wingman Greg Clark, defender Josh Rotham and ruckman Callum Jamieson it would seem Yeo appeals as the likely tactical sub.
Senior coach Adam Simpson hinted at an earlier press conference that Yeo would play on managed minutes, which is a strong indication he will wear a warm-up shirt on the back row of the bench for the start of proceedings.
The dynamic Yeo has missed the last four matches with a hip injury and has played just six games for the year but would be a welcome addition to help off-set the loss of skipper Shuey.
