The West Coast Eagles have regained some speed and returned wingman Andrew Gaff to the starting line-up for Saturday’s bout with Carlton at Marvel Stadium.
Gaff worked his way back into form against Richmond last round after being subbed into the contest during the first term, when youngster Reuben Ginbey went down with a hamstring strain.
The 269-game veteran’s circuit-breaker starting as the sub preceded a 24-disposal effort, and he has been installed on a half-forward flank for Saturday’s clash.
Dasher Jack Petruccelle is also back after being withdrawn following the Eagles’ final training session last weekend due to a corked calf.
Trialled in midfield stints recently, the 24-year-old has averaged 18 touches across his past four matches, including a personal best 22 disposals against Sydney.
Following the onset of delayed concussion this week, four-time All-Australian defender Jeremy McGovern joins Ginbey going out of the team, leaving full-back Tom Barrass to handle Blues spearhead Charlie Curnow.
Barrass (neck) and full-forward Oscar Allen (shoulder) have both been named and are expected to play after heavy landings during the Tigers clash.
Midfield duo Luke Edwards and Xavier O’Neill, plus defenders Luke Foley and Rhett Bazzo, have been named as emergencies and one of that quartet will be revealed as the tactical substitute an hour before the 2.10pm local (12.10pm AWST) bouncedown.
