West Coast Eagles youngster Luke Shuey is making an impact both on and off the field in season 2011.

The third-year midfielder is set to be one of the stars in the Department of Education’s new campaign, It All Starts At School, which encourages young people to go to school every day to experience the many opportunities and choices school provides.

The NAB Rising Star nominee has been selected by the Department of Education as a high profile and highly aspirational person who can demonstrate how education can make a great difference to the lives of young people.

“I think I’ll forever owe the school I went to a lot,” Shuey says.

“If you just give it a crack, you’ll certainly look back with no regrets.”

Shuey stars alongside other inspirational West Australians, including newsreader Narelda Jacobs, Western Force player James O’Connor and Fremantle Docker Roger Hayden.

The West Coast Eagles Football Club is extremely proud that Luke has not only been selected as an inspirational role model, but that he has done so at only 21 years of age.
