Schools back Border Patrol for Telethon
Schools across regional WA ave teamed up with Border Patrol all in the name of charity
Border Patrol is a joint venture between Toyota WA and the West Coast Eagles with further support from BHP Billiton. This generous support enabled Border Patrol to visit 120 regional and rural schools across all of WA in 2013.
An additional element added to Border Patrol this year was the opportunity for schools to support Telethon. Schools were encouraged to dress in colours to show support for their sporting teams or a cause that they believe in. For this privilege, students made a donation to Telethon. A total of 17 very generous schools (listed below) opted to be involved and in doing so raised nearly $1200 for Telethon.
As a THANK YOU for the efforts of these schools, 4 prizes have been awarded courtesy of Toyota WA and the West Coast Eagles. The winning schools (selected by random draw) and their prizes are:
• Our Lady of Lourdes, Dardanup – a signed WCE jumper
• Vasse PS – a signed WCE jumper
• Dowerin DHS – a signed Western Warriors team polo shirt
• St Mary’s, Donnybrook – a signed WCE football
