The West Coast Eagles confirm Jai Culley will miss the remainder of the 2023 AFL season after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee against Richmond.
Culley was subbed out in the opening quarter of Saturday’s match at the MCG after falling to the ground clutching his knee following a marking contest.
Scans have confirmed Culley has ruptured his ACL and the 20-year-old will see a specialist in coming days.
“Unfortunately, scans have confirmed the worst for Jai and he will miss the remainder of the season,” General Manager Football Gavin Bell said today.
“It is a terribly disappointing result for him and the club only nine games into his AFL career.
“We know Jai will attack his rehabilitation with the utmost professionalism and determination, and the club will support him through the process.”
