This month the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation launched the #PCHFKidTakeover Challenge, showing an unfiltered and playful point of view where the kids are behind the lens.
Eagles stars Jack Darling, Courtney Rowley and Evie Gooch took part in the fun initiative and got their photo taken by the talented kids at PCH.
AFLW Eagles defender Evie Gooch said the kids being the photographer is an awesome way to have fun and give them control during a challenging time in their lives.
“It was all about giving them control and taking charge, they took the photos of us which was awesome and really fun," Gooch said.
“It’s great to be able to give back and be a part of their lives because things can be hard for them.
“They are going through some really challenging times so to be able to put some smiles on their faces and join in with them and have fun is a great experience.”
The initiative aims to raise funds for advanced equipment and technology, research, expertise and positive patient experiences to help children at the hospital.
The portraits taken will be displayed in a digital gallery at PCH over the coming months and auctioned later in the year.
