West Coast Eagles vice-captain Jeremy McGovern and young midfielder Elijah Hewett are both expected to be available for selection against Essendon on Friday.
McGovern suffered a minor adductor injury in round three, while Hewett is returning from a calf strain.
“Gov’ got through a significant session on the weekend,” High Performance Manager Mat Inness told westcoasteagles.com.au.
“Assuming he gets through training on Wednesday, he will be available for selection.
“Elijah also got through his session on the weekend and will be available for selection to face the Bombers.”
In further positive news, Callum Jamieson is close to a return following a knee and ankle injury sustained at the back end of last year.
“Cal is now in full training, and will likely return to gameplay next week,” Inness said.
“We’re continuing to build up his stability from his knee and ankle injuries from last season.”
