End of the season, result doesn’t look great but is there a lot of positives you can take out of this game and the season as a whole?

I don’t think there was much positives to take out of today. There’s a fair bit of positives we can take from the year. We could of easily had a couple more wins on the board and there a couple of players that have really grown throughout the year. We’ve had more girls giving more effort on a week-to-week basis. We think we are on the right track but today’s performance – that’s what happens when the youngest side in the competition comes up against a really experienced quality outfit that have played together for years and years. The gap in the game today was huge.

Ella Roberts was a standout today, how have you seen her season as a whole?

Ella Roberts has been fantastic for us and I think if anyone else manages to win the Rising Star award ahead of her I’ll be absolutely gobsmacked. She’s been outstanding I thought her effort today just shows that she’s grown again. To play in a forward line and do what she did with the amount of ball that was down there which wasn’t very much we thought her efforts her pretty spectacular today.

Charlie Thomas down in the backline, there was a lot of ball down there but she held up pretty well?

Charlie was okay you can’t read into her numbers too much, she had a lot of kick ins that get her possessions but she’s had a fantastic year for us as well. That’s what I’m talking about the growth in the group from those sorts of players. Charlie’s in her second year, got games into her last year where we could of put her out of the team and we stuck by her and we got some good results from her this year.

What’s the attitude now going into a post-season with the group that you’ve got?

I said to the girls post game, you’ve got to have a really good rest you’ve played two seasons in one whether it was in AFLW or they’ve come straight out of WAFL footy. But they’ve played more footy than they’ve ever have. So have a good break but think about your own game and where you need to improve individually but where can you help us as a team move forward as well. So I’ve put the challenge on them and we’ll go through a review process in the next two weeks and have those exit meetings and some of them will be pretty pointed
