The WAFL Eagles have been defeated by Claremont by 23 points in their final match of the season.

The Tigers secured a spot in the qualifying final but at times were challenged by the Eagles despite the blustery conditions at Revo Fitness Stadium.

Patrick Naish (33 disposals) and Jackson Nelson (32 disposals) battled valiantly for the visitors and Greg Clark had 23 touches and 11 marks.

West Coast worked hard in the second term with goals to Nelson and Zac Langdon keeping the Eagles in the contest but the third term proved pivotal for Claremont with the Tigers determined to secure the double chance in the finals.

The Eagles won the final term as Josh Burke booted a goal which took his tally to 16, the most of any WAFL Eagle this season.
