Due to the 2010 Toyota AFL Grand Final rematch this Saturday, the Chris Mainwaring Legends match has been rescheduled to Saturday, October 9.

Channel 7's general manager Ray Wardrop said the decision was made in the interest of WA's footy fans and everyone involved in the match.

"Many of the players and support staff participating in the Mainwaring Legends match will be affected by the replay of the AFL Grand Final, and I'm sure hundreds of thousands of people will also be wanting to host Grand Final parties again next week," Wardrop said.

West Coast’s OWLS team (Older, Wiser, Larger, Slower) made up of former Eagles are looking forward to pulling on the boots to honour the memory of their teammate and friend, Chris Mainwaring, and raise important funds for Channel 7’s Telethon.

WA’s home of football, Subiaco Oval, will host the historic match and bounce-down is set for 6.30pm.

Always a wonderful night out for the family, tickets for this event are available from Ticketmaster, with all proceeds raised going to help sick kids in WA. Entry for adults is $12.50, tickets for kids under 16 are $9 and admission for children under six is free.
