West Coast Eagles fans will have the opportunity to acknowledge retiring premiership stars Mark Hutchings and Dan Venables before the season opener against Gold Coast on Sunday.
Members and supporters will be encouraged to settle into Optus Stadium early, with Hutchings and Venables paraded around the boundary pre-game – just after 4pm.
Another retiring star, 216-game defender Brad Sheppard, will participate in a similar lap of recognition, in the round three RAC Derby against Fremantle.
Hutchings played 120 games, including a vital role as a run-with opponent for Collingwood star Steele Sidebottom in the 2018 Grand Final, while Venables was restricted to just 21 games after suffering a head trauma the following season.
