Front and centre were the Burnaby Eagles, with the women’s team emerging as champions while the men’s team lost an entertaining Grand Final.
Against teams with some imaginative names – like the Edmonton Wombats, the Vancouver-Whistler Hawks/Bow Valley Bison and Calgary Kookaburras – the Eagles men won four qualifying matches to work their way into the final.

The Burnaby Eagles women’s team proved too strong for the Calgary Kookaburras, winning the final 4.6 (30) to 0.0 (0).
