Many of West Coast's senior players had already trickled through Mineral Resources Park in recent weeks, but on Monday it was the official return date for the Eagles' full squad - and the excitement was obvious.
The likes of champion spearhead Josh Kennedy and back-to-back club champion Nic Naitanui were back on the park for the first time this summer, and neither looked like they had missed a beat getting back into skills work.

As is typical, Kennedy spent plenty of time practicing his elite goalkicking and forward craft inside 50, while Naitanui impressed onlookers by striding out in skills drills and extra running work.

Recovering duo Liam Duggan (knee) and Jack Redden (shoulder) were interested onlookers as they walked laps together.
After warm-up and goalkicking, the players were put through their paces in ball movement and tackling exercises, with new midfield mentor Matthew Knights spending plenty of time instructing his group as the mercury climbed towards 34 degrees.

The Eagles sweated it out for about 90 minutes on the track and will be back in action on Wednesday from 9.45am during the club's next open training session for members and fans to attend.
