Jackson Nelson pieced together an effective season built upon a solid patch of form early in the year.
The 25-year-old constructed a career-high performance against Port Adelaide in round three – with 25 disposals and 10 marks – and was a consistent contributor in 19 of the 23 home-and-away matches across the season.
Across his six years in the west, Nelson has proved himself as an asset in the West Coast backline, and his ability to lockdown on a dangerous opponent is highly-valued by coach Adam Simpson.
In particular, his efforts in round 13 minding Richmond superstar Dustin Martin, whose impact was restrained, played a role in the Eagles securing their best win of the season.
