The West Coast Eagles can confirm midfield coach Adrian Hickmott will depart the club to return to Victoria and pursue other coaching opportunities.

Hickmott joined the Eagles as a development coach in 2011 after coaching at VFL and TAC Cup level, following a 184-game playing career at Geelong and Carlton.

The 49-year-old performed a variety of roles at West Coast, including as backline coach, and was the club’s contested ball coordinator during the 2018 premiership season.

General Manager – Football Craig Vozzo thanked Hickmott for his contribution to West Coast and wished him well for the future.

“Adrian has been a valued member of the coaching group in his time at the club, and his enthusiasm and love of the game rubbed off on our players and staff alike,” Vozzo said.

“We understand his desire to return to Victoria with his family and continue his coaching career.

“We are grateful to Adrian for his hard work and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
