Kayley Kavanagh impressed in 2023 with an incredibly consistent season with both the Calder Cannons and Vic Metro. Kavanagh started the year as a standard ball-winning inside midfielder, but added to her game throughout 2023 to finish the year as Vic Metro’s MVP and an All-Australian. Despite her inside game being one of her main strengths, her outside game came a long way in 2023 and showed what she can be capable of at the next level. She is a reliable contributor with her production, defensive pressure and clean hands and her eagerness to improve makes her an exciting pickup with plenty of upside. Unfortunately, Kavanagh suffered a ruptured ACL while playing for East Perth in the WAFLW and had been ruled out for the 2024 season.
