Coming off several seasons interrupted by injury setbacks, last season was an encouraging step forward for the lightning-quick Eagle, who played 18 games – the most since he managed 20 appearances in 2019 – and showed his versatility across a variety of roles. Mainly stationed in attack early in his career, Petruccelle was deployed as an inside midfielder, wingman and dashing half-back last year to good effect, earning himself another two-year contract extension until at least the end of 2025.
