Form with the WAFL Eagles has been rewarded as the match committee settled on the line-up to play Melbourne on Monday night, making four changes.
Forward-ruckman Nathan Vardy, defender Alex Witherden, utility player Jackson Nelson and experienced midfielder Mark Hutchings have all been included as the club searches for a badly-needed victory.
Making way for that quartet are developing midfielder Xavier O’Neill, defender Josh Rotham and forwards Jake Waterman and Zac Langdon.
Vardy has been outstanding in the WAFL in the last month, and will play his 50th game for West Coast on Monday.
The premiership star comes into the side to support Nic Naitanui against the highly-credentialed Melbourne duo of Max Gawn and Luke Jackson.
Witherden has also been in eye-catching touch at the second tier and the coaching staff will welcome his kicking skills into the team.
Nelson has played both in defence and through the midfield for the WAFL Eagles while Hutchings will add some extra firepower to the engine room.
The medical substitute will come from Langdon, Waterman, Rotham or young midfielder Luke Edwards, who is returning from a hamstring strain should he be the 23rd man.
