West Coast has recalled small forward Zac Langdon while young half-back Luke Foley will play his first full game for the season against Carlton on Sunday.

Langdon has spent the past two matches in the WAFL and produced a typically hard-working 15-disposal, four-tackle and one-goal effort in the loss to South Fremantle.

The former Giant will add to the Eagles’ running power, alongside fellow inclusions young midfielder Xavier O’Neill and debutant Luke Edwards at the SCG.

Foley is also into the 22 for the first time this year after making a brief appearance as the sub in the round eight triumph over Hawthorn at the MCG.

The neat 21-year-old half-back, who debuted in round 18 last year against North Melbourne, has been in solid WAFL form and gathered 28 disposals earlier this season against Swan Districts.

West Coast has lost five players to injury from last Saturday night’s defeat to Essendon.

Tim Kelly (knee), Oscar Allen (concussion), Josh Kennedy (soreness), Brendon Ah Chee (calf) and Jarrod Brander (adductor) will all miss, totalling 473 matches of experience out of the team.

Jamaine Jones has been omitted but is a chance to be named medical sub after travelling to Sydney along with fellow emergency Brayden Ainsworth.

Star ruckman Nic Naitanui will captain the side for the first time in the absence of skipper Luke Shuey (hamstring), vice-captain Jeremy McGovern (knee) and fellow deputy vice-captain Kennedy.
