The diversity and skill set of the West Coast Eagles board will broaden with the imminent appointment of three additional directors.
Former State treasurer Ben Wyatt, communications expert Nicole Moody and 2006 premiership player Rowan Jones are poised to join the Board.
Mr Wyatt, a lawyer before entering public life, was a key pillar in the successful Labor election campaign four years ago but decided to step away from the political scene a few months out from the March ballot.
Nicole Moody is the Managing Director of Hunter Communications and Rowan Jones played 158 games for the club, playing a vital midfield role in the mid-2000s, alongside Chris Judd, Ben Cousins, Dean Cox and Daniel Kerr.
He is a life member of the club, is a member of the Hall of Fame selection committee and is now a financial planner with Entrust Wealth Management.
West Coast Eagles chairman Russell Gibbs welcomed their commitment to assist the club and was looking forward to enjoying the fresh insights they would bring.
“All bring to the board a broad range of skills and can have a strong influence across all aspects of the club’s operations,” Mr Gibbs said. “It’s exciting to have three people of their calibre ready to join a board that already boasts highly talented individuals.
“While they have particular areas of strength, we know their influence can run deeper and wider than that to enable the club to have sustained success both on and off the field.”
Mr Wyatt and Ms Moody will start almost immediately while Mr Jones will join the board later in the year.
