What started as a close contest, ended in a 79-point loss, with Peel outclassing the blue and gold outfit on their home soil in Mandurah.
“We had nine listed players and they really fought it out along with our WAFL listed boys,” head coach Daniel Pratt said.
“It was a disappointing result, but it probably doesn’t reflect their performance on the day.”
Find out how the AFL-listed players did below:
Brendon Ah Chee
Has had a layoff for a few weeks, so after a bit of a slow start he got into the game and finished with a couple of goals. Played forward and played mid, so happy with his progression.
Jarrod Cameron
Finished with three goals and was probably the most pleasing of the group, getting a bit of fitness back now, bodies starting to feel a bit better, his performance matched-up with how he’s been training. So, really good signs.
Xavier O’Neill
Had a lot of footy through the midfield, fought really hard in the contest. Finished with 28 touches and three tackles.
Luke Edwards
Up against some experienced players, which was really good for him. Finished with a goal and 19 touches.
Callum Jamieson and Bailey Williams
Got to have a good hitout against Lloyd Meek who came back from the Fremantle AFL and they would’ve learnt a lot from that experience. ‘Jamo’ finished with two goals and five marks, Bailey’s strung a few games together now and is probably in a position to push for selection. He had some influence on the game as well.
Luke Foley
Played a half, in the first half, lot of supply coming in there, thought that his leadership and contest were really good down there for the day,
