More than a dozen West Coast-listed players could be available for East Perth when the Royals play Swan Districts in round two of the WAFL tomorrow.
The club made application to the AFL for several senior players to have one final hit-out before the Eagles begin their campaign on Easter Saturday against the Western Bulldogs – including three players who were engaged against Fremantle last Sunday.
Defender Jamie Bennell, tall utility player Fraser McInnes and hard-nosed forward Simon Tunbridge could all have one final opportunity to stake a claim for a berth against the Bulldogs.
McInnes played the last two NAB Challenge games, but like Tunbridge, was a substitute against Fremantle and played little more than a quarter.
They will appreciate the opportunity for a full hit-out at WAFL level.
Bennell has played all of the NAB Challenge games and could use the opportunity to finish off his pre-season with a further hit-out.
Other senior players who will play for the Royals include wingman Kane Lucas, who had 31 touches on debut last week, and forward Josh Hill.
Midfielder and forward Murray Newman will enjoy another run, while the likes of Brant Colledge, first year wingman Liam Duggan and Irishman Paddy Brophy will be available.
Tom Barrass, Malcolm Karpany, Dylan Main, father-son selection Alec Waterman and baseball convert Corey Adamson will also be in action at Medibank Stadium.
