Season 2020 didn’t go according to plan for the two-time John Worsfold medallist, who only managed 10 appearances before succumbing to a persistent groin injury. However, Yeo continued to show why he regarded one of the league’s supreme midfielders when he was on the paddock. In spite of missing seven games, West Coast’s human wrecking ball still amassed the second most tackles (56) of any Eagle and ranked second in the league for average clearances, fourth for average stoppage clearances and seventh for centre clearances per game.
Standout performance:
The game might not have gone West Coast’s way, but that should not take away from Yeo’s impressive performance against Gold Coast in round two. The two-time All Australian was a force to be reckoned with in the midfield, amassing 21 disposals, a season-high 13 tackles, 16 contested possessions and an astonishing 10 clearances as he dug deep in a bid to will the Eagles over the line against the red hot Suns.
