The Perth Football League normally celebrates its annual medal presentation night in the glitz and glamour of a packed Crown Ballroom.

However, the impact of Covid-19 forced the event to be held entirely online.

The West Coast Eagles have sponsored the PFL for several years and acknowledge the commitment and dedication of the players, coaches and volunteers from across all grades of the competition.

In what was a shortened season, North Beach's Joseph Deegan took out the CJ Jamieson Medal as the A Grade's Best and Fairest Player for 2020.

Deegan, the brother of former West Coast Eagle AFLW recruit Rosie polled in five games across nine rounds with two best on ground performances to finish on ten votes.

North Beach's Joseph Deegan

The former Sorrento-Duncraig junior, played State Amateur colts in 2017 and is the first CJ Jamieson medallist from North Beach since Thomas McNeil in 2002.

Deegan finished just one vote ahead of the pack with Kyle Cranley (North Beach), Kyle Halligan (Kingsway) and Jarrod Parry (Curtin Uni Wesley) all finishing on nine votes.

Curtin Uni Wesley’s Liusaidh Gilchrist took out the Women’s A Grade fairest and best.

Gilchrist polled in five out of seven matches including four best on grounds and adds another accolade to go with her two A Grade premiership medallions.
