Visiting three different wards and spending time meeting a number of enthusiastic young supporters and their parents, Waters said visiting the hospital always left a big impression on the players.

"They’re always the happiest and most positive kids you’ll meet in a hospital ironically and it has a big impact on myself and all of the other players.

"To see them grow and get through some of the biggest challenges that anyone could ever face puts my life and footy into perspective," Waters said.

Since 2005 the West Coast Eagles has been a proud partner of the PMH Foundation, helping to raise more than $170,000 for sick and injured kids in Western Australia.

These funds have helped purchase vital medical equipment including a patient cooling machine for the paediatric intensive care unit, an overhead warmer for the neonatal ward, a cardiac monitor for the infants ward and theming of the sensory room.

Throughout the year, West Coast players make a number of visits to the children of PMH.
