The scones and jam had to be hidden quickly before Daniel Kerr and Callum Wilson arrived at the Cancer Council WA’S Crawford Lodge in Nedlands last Thursday as they mingled with a number of residents during morning tea.

Crawford Lodge, an accommodation facility fully funded by the Cancer Council WA, provides cancer patients from rural areas of WA a place to stay while they receive treatment in Perth.
With many of those attending being loyal West Coast supporters, Kerr and Wilson were both overwhelmed by the messages of support and encouragement coming from people fighting a much bigger battle.
‘They’re pretty inspirational people,’ Kerr said
‘They were so positive and really genuine despite what they were going through themselves.’
Since 2005 the West Coast Eagles have been proud supporters of the Cancer Council WA helping to raise more than $600,000 and fully-fund six cancer research projects.
