East and west strengthen ties
Members of the East and West Coast Eagles have put their heads together
David Elliott, Emma West and Claire Ryan from the West Coast Eagles landed in Sydney and attended a full-day planning session with members of the board of the East Coast Eagle, exploring new and innovative ways to build upon the strong relationship that has been in place for 10 years.
The West Coast Eagles is widely recognised as one of the most successfully run clubs in the Australian Football League and the opportunity for the East Coast Eagles to leverage off this experience and professionalism will no doubt see East Coast able to maintain its mantle as the premier club in the AFL Sydney competition.
Many opportunities were explored on the day covering everything from club membership incentives, marketing and PR opportunities, merchandising and events as well as ways to best celebrate the 10-year anniversary that the East Coast Eagles will celebrate in 2010. The West Coast Eagles will also continue to play hosts to players and administrators during the 2010 pre-season in Perth.
The group came away invigorated by the discussions and look forward to implementing the innovations that came out of the meeting.
