West Coast Eagles recruiting officer Brad Smith made the most of a recent trip to Italy with the nation’s elite teenagers and dropped in for a kick with the Milano Eagles - one of the newest of the club’s affiliates.
Smith attended a training session with the club and passed on some of his vast knowledge to the enthusiastic playing group.
Bruno Nugnes, the driving force behind the club and one of its star players, said the Milano Eagles really appreciated Smith’s presence and the message he passed on.
“It was fantastic to have him here and hopefully in the future maybe a few players could come over for the trip,” Nugnes said.
“He passed on some very good tips which our players will take on board.”
Meanwhile, the Eagles have played two recent matches, going down to Roma and Geneva.
