Help the MOPs in Cambodia
Did you catch the Mothers Of Players on Today Tonight yesterday? Help them with their mission in Cambodia.
As a result, they were able to provide safe homes for over 150 children.
The impact of the experience on the players was so profound that in 2011 the club decided to raise the funds to build a school in Koh Kong Provence for 500 poor rural Cambodian children.
This year, the mothers of some of the senior players at West Coast (affectionately known as the MOPs or Mothers of Players) have decided to raise funds to build additional classrooms at the school.
The MOPs, comprising Aileen Glass, Mary Cox, Anne Embley, Desley Mackenzie, Pamela Stratford-Butler, Monica Masten, and Sharon Priddis, travelled to Cambodia in November 2012 to help set up these classrooms, and are continually raising money to provide resources for the Cambodian students.
