Strong presence in Royals finals
West Coast has released 13 players for WAFL duties this weekend
From 2006 premiership player Sam Butler, through to rookie Dylan Main, there is a vast range of experience and football achievements available for the Royals as they push towards a premiership campaign.
That drive will start in the Father’s Day second semi-final against Subiaco at Medibank Stadium and will include five players who played in West Coast’s last qualifying game at AFL level – tough utility player Pat McGinnity, defenders Butler, Blayne Wilson, Jacob Brennan and Adam Carter, as well as forward Josh Hill, who this week signed a one-year contract extension.
Also playing for the Royals will be Ash Smith and Dom Sheed, who travelled to the Gold Coast as emergencies, strong-bodied midfielders Brant Colledge and Simon Tunbridge, as well as forwards Fraser McInnes and Callum Sinclair.
McInnes was this week cleared of a striking charge laid in the game against Claremont last Saturday.
