West Coast’s inaugural AFLW campaign has come to a premature end following the AFL’s decision to abandon the final two home and away fixtures and bring forward the finals series in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan tonight confirmed that the top four teams from Conference A and Conference B would advance to a modified finals campaign.

Thank you to our inaugural members and supporters - bring on 2021! pic.twitter.com/dAqzyNx7Dd
As a result of sitting in seventh position in Conference B at the completion of round six, West Coast did not qualify for the finals series.
Fixtures for the finals series will be released tomorrow.
The West Coast Eagles would like to thank its inaugural AFLW members, sponsors and the club’s wider fan base for showing such enthusiastic support for our women’s program.
This is only the beginning of a long journey and we are already looking forward to season 2021.
