West Coast has made four changes ahead of its round six clash with Gold Coast at Mineral Resources Park.
As revealed yesterday, rugby union convert Mhicca Carter will make her AFLW debut and dependable defender Chantella Perera returns to the side after missing last week’s loss to Melbourne due to work commitments.
They will be joined on the field by 2019 WAFL leading goal-kicker Tarnee Tester and athletic utility Kate Orme, who have been recalled for the match.
The exciting quartet comes in for McKenzie Dowrick (illness), Emily Bonser (illness), Melissa Caulfield (knee soreness) and Sophie McDonald (ankle).
Neither Dowrick or Bonser have been affected by the Coronavirus outbreak.
However that can’t be said for the fixture, which won’t feature any fans due to the pandemic.
The AFL Executive today announced that as of Saturday, March 14 AFLW matches will only host players, coaches, essential club officials, umpires, AFL officials, broadcast teams, media and required venue staff with no supporters permitted to attend.
While you might not be able to make it to the game, you can still catch all the action live on Channel 7 and Fox Footy, who will broadcast the match live from 2pm, and on the club’s AFLW Twitter, Facebook and Instagram channels.
