West Coast Eagles running machine Andrew Gaff retained his 2km time trial crown today, edging out dashing defenders Liam Duggan and Jackson Nelson for the title.

Gaff backed up his pre-Christmas time trial win with another victory at the WA Athletics Stadium, but that was just one of several feats achieved by Eagles this morning.

Emerging utility Jarrod Brander produced a head-turning run, shaving 16 seconds off his personal best.

Onball bull Dom Sheed bettered his record by six seconds, while defender Tom Cole and inside midfielder Jack Redden raced around the track four seconds quicker than their previous quickest efforts.

Duggan and Nelson also achieved personal best times en route to securing podium finishes.

In all it was a productive run for the squad, with the majority of players besting their pre-Christmas time trial efforts.
