Whew, what a day, and what a weekend! It was so awesome seeing the boys with a big win on Friday, and it was even better catching up with hundreds of my youngest buddies this morning at the Rick’s Rookies Coaching Clinic!
How brilliant was Friday night? Wow, what a win and I tell you what… I loved seeing the guys in those yellow jumpers. I think I might need to get one. In fact, I’m going to duck down to the West Coast Eagles Team Store as soon as I’m done here and check to see if they’ve got any in my size.
It’s always a bundle of fun seeing the players have fun with their littlest fans, and today was no different! I spoke to Elliott Yeo and he told me that there’s some real hawkeye Eagles fans with beautifully straight handpasses and deadly kicks, while Chris Masten was telling me that his games of dodgeball had some lightning fast kids running around, and that no matter how hard he and Kane Lucas tried, they just couldn’t catch some of my buddies.
Anyway – we’re off to Sydney this weekend! The Swans are in pretty good form but I think we’ll be the better of the two birds this Saturday.
