West Coast Eagles joint vice-captain Luke Shuey has placed eighth in the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year Award.
The 2016 John Worsfold medallist amassed 76 votes throughout the year, finishing 31 votes behind runaway winner Marcus Bontempelli of the Western Bulldogs.
Elliot Yeo was the next best Eagle, placing 17th with 67 votes to his name.
Both Shuey and Yeo are in the mix to be a member of the 2019 Virgin Australia AFL All Australian team after being named in the 40-man squad yesterday.
They are two of seven Eagles in the running to receive the prestigious honour, the others being captain Shannon Hurn, Brad Sheppard, Jack Darling, Jeremy McGovern and Andrew Gaff.
