Midfield bulls Andrew Gaff and Luke Shuey were the only Eagles to net Gary Ayres Award Player of the Finals votes during West Coast’s semi-final loss to Geelong on Friday night.

Gaff received two votes from senior coaches Adam Simpson and Chris Scott for his workman-like display against the Cats.

The two-time all-Australian amassed 30 disposals, seven marks, six score involvements, give contested possessions and five inside 50 entries at the MCG.

He also booted back-to-back goals in the third quarter.

Shuey garnered one vote from the senior coaches for his gutsy game, which featured 26 disposals, eight contested possessions, six marks, four score involvements and four rebound 50s.

Jamie Cripps is still tied at the top of the Gary Ayres Award leaderboard after receiving a perfect 10 votes for his stirring elimination final performance.
